The
CURN Award
The
principal investigator for the CURN Award must be a regular MNA
member in good standing and a registered nurse who is licensed
to practice in Michigan and living in the state, and possess or
be working on a masters or doctoral degree.
Applications for grants in any amount up to $5,000 will be considered.
Applications requesting budgets totaling more than $5,000 will
not be reviewed.
Recipients
will be known as "CURN Scholars"; all publications and
publicity must reflect such title and acknowledge the Michigan
Nurses Foundation. CURN Scholars will be asked to present their
research at the MNA Convention or to write an article for publication
in Michigan Nurse describing their research and its implications
for nursing practice.
An
annual interim (progress) report is due October 1 of each year
and a final report upon completion of the project. All reports
must be in American Psychological Association (APA) fifth addition
format. Neither copies of dissertations nor masters theses are
acceptable as final reports.
