MICHIGAN NURSES FOUNDATION AWARDS FOUR
SCHOLARSHIPS
Okemos, Michigan – The Michigan Nurses Foundation
(MNF) 2004 Scholarships were awarded on Tuesday, October 12 at
the Michigan Nurses Association’s Centennial Convention at
the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee reviewed
the applicants’ GPA and academic record, financial need,
and community service. Each applicant also submitted an essay
describing how the scholarship funds would enable them to achieve
their practice goals in nursing. Four students each received a
$500 scholarship toward their nursing education. The annual scholarships
are open to potential and current nursing students who plan to
begin their studies in nursing or advance their education in nursing.
Congratulations to 2004 Michigan Nurses Foundation
scholarship recipients:

Khalida Graham, from Port Huron, Michigan,
is a nursing student at St. Clair County Community College.

Lori Kirk, from Sturgis, Michigan, is nursing
student at Glen Oaks Community College.

Tien Nguyen, from Jackson, Michigan, is a
nursing student at Jackson Community College.

Shoua Vang, from Warren, Michigan, is a nursing
student at Oakland University.
